Type location Cameroun (Cremastogaster (Atopogyne) homeri, Forel, 1913e: 668, queen) from Johann-Albrechtschöhe, by Conradt; queen only described (see Bolton, 1995) .

Forel's (1913e) description is at . Note - Forel stated that workers identifiable as chlorotica bore the same label (collection details) and, hence, this could be the queen of that species. However, Crematogaster chlorotica since has been classifed as in Sphaerocrema.
