return to key {link to the Hymenoptera Name Server} Type location Cameroun (L. Conradt, in Emery, 1901a: 52, all forms); all forms described (see Bolton, 1995) .

Emery's (1901a) description is at {original description}.

Wheeler (1922) also listed it from Guinea (Mamou, by F. Silvestri) and Congo.

Bernard (1952) described it as probably common in small termite nests throughout French West Africa. The species lodges in minute societies in cavities in the walls of Procubitermes and other termites. Lamotte found 9 workers in the savanna at Kéoulenta, Guinea.

A single worker was collected in Ghana, from leaf litter in the semi-deciduous forest zone - under secondary forest at Bunso - by Belshaw & Bolton (1994b).
