Listed by Room (1971) from leaf litter under cocoa and bananas at the Mampong Cemetery farm in Ghana.

Specimens in CRIN collection labelled Oligomyrmex species A, were from Ghana, minors only, TL 1.01 mm; not drawn. Colour yellow; sculpturation of head and alitrunk coarsely reticulopunctate; on lateral propodeum puncturations are distinctly separated from each other. Erect hairs moderately abundant all over; long pilosity on the head. Propodeal spines minute, triangular, halfway down declivity which is a smooth curve after a steep rise from the metanotal groove.
