Santschi's (1911g, 1912b and 1924a) description is at {original description}. Santschi (1912b) merely had (my translation) - from Benguela (as in his paper of 1911g), with the propodeum strongly dentate. In his 1924a paper he gave a full description and illustration.
Santschi's (1924a) description of emeryi, synonymized as an ergatoid female by Bolton (1974b) is at {original description}. Bolton's modern description (1974b) is at {original description}

WORKER - TL 12.8-17.7 mm; first gastral tergite with weakly developed anterior transverse groove; funicular segments 3-5 wider than long; ventrolateral and ventral head with striae between punctures.

Bolton (1974b) lists records from Uganda, and Zaïre, Kisenje.
