WORKER - TL 5.9-6.1 mm; characterised by the presence of transverse ridges on the propodeum as opposed to teeth, and distinguished by the abundant long, curved or sinuate, yellow-white hairs. Pubescence long and greyish especially on appendages and gaster. Colour black, antennal funiculi yellow-brown, tarsi dark brown or black, (Bolton, 1973b: 335, not illustrated).
