WORKER - similar to procerus separated as in key, and at
lower end of size range
TL 10.8-12.2 mm, HL 2.08-2.36, HW 1.96-2.24, SL 1.56-1.80, PW
1.52-1.68 (Bolton, 1975b: 11, illustrated, head only).
Holotype and a few other workers, male and female from Roça
Infante Don Henrique, ii.1901, at 100-330 m, and (junior synonym
var. impressa) at 200-300 m, both by L. Fea; (Bolton,
1975b).

- this seems nearer the Bolton separation with a rounded head
shape, red-brown colour (not black as procerus) and shiny
lobes of frontal carinae; no obvious striated sculpturation; long
antennal scapes. Otherwise possibly a new species.
