Santschi, 1914c: 288, male) collected at Molunda by A. Reichensperger;
junior synonym mabirensis (as Plectroctena mandibularis

synonymy by Bolton, 1975b: 8) from Uganda; worker and male

WORKER - large, TL 14.8-15.8 mm; mandibles falcate. Antennal scapes
relatively long. First gastral tergite narrowed anteriorly, with small
punctures but without foveolae. Colour black (Bolton, 1975: 8,
illustrated, mandible and petiole/first gastral tergite in dorsal
view).
