WORKER - TL 2.1 mm; elongated narrow head, long scapes (SI 72-80) and the largest eyes of any genus member from Africa; colour yellow to medium brown (Bolton, 1983: 291, illustrated, full-face view).

Widely distributed in sub-Saharan Africa. From West Africa records include Ivory Coast, at Lamto (J. Lévieux); Ghana, at Mampong (P.M. Room); and Togo, at Palimé, Kpimé Forest (Vit) (Bolton, 1983).

Laboratory studies of its predatory habits and use of chemical attractants to lure Collembolan prey were described by Déjean (1985).
