Solenopsis ugandensis Santschi

Santschi's (1935) description of congolensis is as follows (my translation), comparisons with type form -
Worker - TL 1.3-1.4 mm. Colour clear yellow; sculpturation similar, i.e. smooth except for fine reticulation giving a matt appearance to alitrunk. Head bigger and longer, anterior clypeal border simply arcuate, with denticules hardly distinct and well spaced. Antenna more slender, funiculus segments 3-6 twice as long as wide (marginally more so than type). Petiole pedicel longer and summit wider; postpetiole longer than high; node in dorsal view, appears rectangular, one-third wider than long and larger anteriorly (straighter in front and at least a quarter wider than long in type); sides more rounded. Otherwise as with type except more robust.
