Type location Ivory Coast (Bolton, 1983: 381, not illustrated,
worker & queen), collected in the Tai Forest (V. Mahnert &
J.-L. Perret, 17.x.1980), holotype, 31 paratype workers and a queen
.
Bolton's modern description (1983) is at

WORKER - TL 1.5-1.8 mm; funicular segments 2 and 3 minute; narrow
lamellate flange on upper scrobe; colour dull yellow to
brownish-yellow (Bolton, 1983).
Other Ivory Coast records Adiopodoumé, Languédédou,
Monogaga (V. Mahnert & J.-L. Perret); Banco Forest (I. Lôbl;
W.L. Brown) and Divo (L. Brader).
From Ghana, at CRIG (B. Bolton); described as widespread,
from their leaf litter samples (70 workers plus 4 from soil) in the
semi-deciduous forest zone, by Belshaw & Bolton (1994b).
