Type location Cameroun (Atopomyrmex luteus,
collector L. Conradt, Emery, 1899e; see Bolton, 1995); worker only
described .

WORKER - TL 5.0-5.8 mm; very similar to elegans but a
uniform dull yellow and the pronotum is broader than long, with
the sides of the pronotum distinctly convex, and the head with
only slight sculpturation (Bolton, 1981b, illustrated).
Wheeler (1922) listed it also from Cameroun, at Mundame
(Conradt). Only other findings are listed by Bolton (1981b,
illustrated) as from Ghana, at Kade and Bunso (D. Leston).
